Research
Our laboratory is studing multimedia communication services. Especially,
we is considering the service of audio-visual communication, and if we pay
attention to video contents, there are some study issues of contents
coding and providing methods according to userbility and data compatibility
for any communication environment.
Thus, we emphasize the improvement of a video coding schemes and a video
distribution model using coded data for future services over network.
More precisely, a hierarchical coding, layer coding and scalable coding
for data compression methods and new media services are studied
with respect to a video coding method.
On the other hand, since the stablility of contents service systems is
one of significant issues for streaming , VoD and downloading services,
coding control methods and service modeling schems for feasibility of them
should be also considered.
Consequently, the effect of whole systems must be evaluated as new systems.
Moreover, we focus on the research to pursue patents and to make
fundation of industrial progress for ICT generation.
