The 5th IIEEJ International Workshop on Image Electronics and Visual Computing 2017 (IEVC2017)

FPT Complex / FPT City Da Nang, Da Nang, Vietnam/ Feb. 28-Mar.3, 2017

* Purpose: The International Workshop on Image Electronics and Visual Computing 2017 (IEVC2017) will be held in Da Nang, Vietnam, on February 28.March 3, 2017 as the 5th international academic event of Image Electronics Engineers of Japan (IIEEJ) based on the great success of IEVC2007 held in Cairns, Australia, IEVC2010 held in Nice, France, IEVC2012 held in Kuching, Malaysia, and IEVC2014 held in Koh Samui, Thailand. The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers, developers, and students from various fields in both academia and industry for discussing the latest researches, standards, developments, implementations and application systems in all areas of image electronics and visual computing.

* Paper submission: Prospective authors are invited to submit a paper (2-4pages summary) including results, figures and references. The first page of the paper should include author name(s), affiliation, and a short abstract. The official language is English and authors should submit their papers as PDF through the online submission system, which will be available around June, 2016 at

http://www.kodama.com.hiroshima-u.ac.jp/iieej/IEVC2017/ .

The paper submission guide and IEVC formats (TeX format/MS Word format) will be also provided at this site. The organizing committee particularly encourages graduate students to present their works in the special sessions that are now planned by the committee of the workshop.

After the workshop, the Trans. on IEVC of IIEEJ is planning a forthcoming special issue on ``Extended Papers Presented in IEVC2017", which will be published in December, 2017 or in June, 2018. More detailed information will be notified in the IEVC2017 web-site and Journal of IIEEJ.

* Art and Demo paper submission ( Art and Demo session ) : Prospective authors are invited to submit a paper (1-2 pages) including an artistic motivation, a background of your artwork, and how digital technologies are involved in your work, and so on. The official language is English and authors should submit their papers as PDF through the online submission system at

The first page of the paper should include author name(s) and affiliation. Authors may optionally upload supplementary material, which may include videos, audios and images to showcase results/demo.
